Trudy & Sam’s Fall Agritopia Engagement Photos with Traditional Vietnamese Wedding Dress
When Sam took Trudy to Sedona for a getaway weekend right at the beginning of their relationship, she knew he was the one. The fresh air, stunning red rocks, and of course the company, sealed the deal. This guy was a keeper. Fast forward a couple of years, and he took her back to the same Inn, the same hammocks, and asked her to be his wife. Now, from their home in Houston, they are planning their wedding to be at that very same Inn, in Sedona, next spring. What better way to make everything official than going back to the place where it all began?
Trudy is Vietnamese, and Sam is Korean. Their heritage and families are such an important part of who they are. And while they plan on having a Western ceremony for their wedding day, these two wanted to honor their family and traditions in their engagement session. And we couldn’t be more happy about it!
On a recent trip to Vietnam, Trudy’s uncle had her fitted for a custom traditional Vietnamese wedding dress. Isn’t it stunning? We were so excited when she told us she wanted to wear it during some of their engagement session. These have become some of our favorite engagement photos, maybe ever! The vibrant red and the intricate gold lace were just perfect. And the way the train flowed behind her in the early morning light was so dreamy!
Trudy and Sam were only in Arizona for a few days, with lots of wedding planning to do, so we squeezed in a sunrise engagement session with them. They were asking for someplace unique and beautiful for formal portraits, but also a fun casual spot we could grab coffee and take some more relaxed date-like photos. So, we decided to create some Agritopia engagement photos at The Coffee Shop in Gilbert. It was the perfect place! And the early morning sun was so beautiful! We hope you love their engagement session at Agritopia!
